Where does Chapter offer services?

We currently offer services in the NYC area (select areas of Manhattan, Brooklyn & Queens). 

 

Once I get started online, how long will it take for a designer to contact me?

We strive for same-day responses but depending on when you submit your request (weekends, holidays, etc.) it may take as long as 24-48 hours. If you have an immediate need please contact our customer service team.

IN-HOME CONSULTATIONS:

What is the cost of the initial in-home consultation?

The initial in-home consultation is complimentary. 

How long is the initial in-home consultation?

In-home consultations are typically 45 minutes to one hour. 

What should I expect from the in-home consultation?

During your complimentary consultation you’ll meet with your designer in your space and have the opportunity to get to know each other. You'll receive on-the-spot tips and advice, and we encourage you to ask all the questions you want. Afterwards, your designer will provide a detailed follow-up with her/his recommendations for your space and an estimate of the number of hours needed to complete your project. Learn more about our process.

We'd love to talk about them all day! Chapter Interiors interior designers are experts in their field. They're also graduates of some of the best interior design programs in the country. When you work with Chapter Interiors you are working with highly talented designers with a passion for bringing your interior design story to life. Each designer on the team also has their own story so we encourage you to ask about their background and experience when you meet. 

What if I'm not happy with my designer?

It's rare but in the event that you aren't happy with your designer just give us a call or email customer service. We want you to be completely satisfied. If you feel that your designer isn't the right fit we'll gladly arrange for you to meet with someone else.

What kind of projects can Chapter Interiors handle?

We handle projects of all shapes and sizes and there is no minimum budget requirement to work with us. Just need help refreshing your living room? Consider it done. Want to completely gut renovate your kitchen? We can do that too!

How does Chapter Interiors save me money?

First, our approach to interior design is flexible and customizable to meet your needs. It's up to you how involved (or not involved) you want your designer to be. This approach to interior design gives you flexibility and puts you in complete control of your budget. We can take care of every last detail for you, or we can determine what aspects of your project will make the biggest impact and focus our efforts there. You only pay for the time you need with your designer and nothing more.

We also share our trade discounts with you. Many design services add a commission fee on top of retail prices or only pass along a portion of the discounts they receive. We do the opposite— we believe in price transparency and pass our full trade discounts to you. You can save 10% to 40% off retail prices by working with us. In many ways our service pays for itself. What is the difference between hourly service and the design package?

Our design packages are ideal for small projects ranging from 3 to 9 hours. Things like arranging a room, picking paint colors and finishes, and accessorizing. The rate for design packages is $140/hour with a 3-hour minimum to start.

Hourly service is intended for larger and more time-intensive projects such as complete renovations and room re-designs. The rate for hourly service is $125/hour with a minimum of 10 hours to start.

What if I need a contractor?

We are more than happy to recommend contractors that we have worked with in the past or work with any contractor you prefer. Please note that contractors and other third party services are not affiliated with Chapter Interiors and we cannot guarantee their work.

 

BUYING TIME WITH YOUR DESIGNER:

Do I have to pay for all of my hours in advance?

You are not required to purchase all of the hours required to complete your project in advance. When you work with us you have the flexibility to purchase hours in increments that are convenient for you. Once your designer tells you the suggested number of hours needed to complete your project you can work together in phases. Get started with a few hours and then purchase more time when it's right for you. Just remember that when you purchase 10 hours or more you gain access to our discounted rate. After purchasing 10 hours with your designer, additional hours will be at he discounted rate. 

How do I purchase time with my designer?

After your consultation your designer will send you a link to purchase time through our secure payment system.
