While located in New York, this ins't part of the United States. Namely, as it serves as after-school classroom & playroom for children of employees who work at an international consulate. The space draws inspiration from nature to create a magical non-culturally specific space for kids. 

 

With a tight budget but open brief, paint and creative use of materials allowed us to design  a space that captures the imagination of it's young audience. Various local talent added decoration to the space both in the continuous line drawing requesting the the playroom and geometric landscape illustrated for the classroom. Sourcing from a wide variety of vendors gave us modern, contemporary style while hardwearing finishes provide a low maintenance backdrop.
